Winter break can be a time to get away from the office and school. Finding the right destination can be the tricky part. Here are ten destinations for many types of getaway.
Anegada Beach resorts

These resorts are located on the island of St Thomas. There are a lot of things to do, including sailing, snorkeling and kite surfing. For those who prefer to lounge on the white sand beaches, that is another wonderful thing to enjoy.
Sydney, Australia

Sydney is finally back open! One of the most recommended things to do on your winter break in Sydney is to take a yacht tour of the bay, especially on New Year’s Eve. On that excursion you can watch the fireworks from the Sydney Bridge. It is said to be an awesome sight.
Park City, Utah

If you like to ski, there are a lot of choices, both in the United States and around the world. Park City has the benefit of having things for the whole family to do. If you don’t want to ski, there is an ice skating rink. Main Street also has boutiques and wonderful places to eat.
Snowshoe Mountain

For those on the East Coast who may not want to travel all the way to Utah, Snowshoe is a wonderful resort area. Located in West Virginia, it offers skiing but also snow tubing, hiking (with snowshoes, of course) and other fun winter activities. Snowshoe has been called the playground of Washington, D.C.
Vail, CO

This is a wonderful ski resort town. It offers things for the history buff, those who like to snowshoe and for winter adventurers of other sports. Check out the dog sledding to be found or snow tube down a mountain.
Angel Fire Resort

Located in northern New Mexico not far from the town of Taos, this resort is wonderful for skiers. There is also a tubing hill and spectacular views.
Disneyworld

Located outside of Orlando, Florida, Disneyworld resorts are a fun place to spend winter break. Several luxury hotels are available. You can spend a little extra for a VIP pass, which has special tours and other opportunities that the regular park goer doesn’t have.
Suncadia

Located near Spokane, Washington, this resort has something for everyone. There is a day spa, a wine cellar, wine tasting flights and a couple of different choices for dining. The penthouse features a full kitchen, huge bathroom and a fireplace.
San Diego, CA

Not everyone wants to go somewhere cold for winter break. San Diego offers several luxurious hotels, but it has a lot more to offer. Old Town has some of the original style buildings. Nearby is Legoland and the San Diego Zoo. Seaworld is also close by.
Disneyland Resorts
Located near Anaheim, CA, this resort offers two theme parks instead of one. Disneyland and California Adventure Park are located across the square from each other. Nearby is also Downtown Disney with plenty of shops, dining experiences and entertainment.
No matter which you choose, sunshine or snow, there are a lot of wonderful places for your winter break!
