In Covent Garden you will find San Carlo Cicchetti. On Wellington Street at number 30 you will find this beautiful place that is a real Italian restaurant that will not disappoint your expectations: the dishes are excellent and presented in an excellent way, the environment is elegant and the staff very friendly. To reach the place, the best thing to do is to go down to Covent Garden Station and from there it is only a few steps on foot. Prices are average.

In Thurloe Place – South Kensington area – at number 8a, you will find Orsini Restaurant. The prices here are very good – about fifteen pounds for a first course and twenty for a second – and the location is informal and lively. The dishes, typically Italian, are of excellent quality and all worthy of the best culinary tradition of the peninsula. Of particular note are the carbonara, penne all’arrabbiata, fritti misti and tiramisù. The staff is attentive and friendly. This restaurant is located in the museum area – the nearest tube station is South Kensington – and is perfect for a tasty dinner after an afternoon of sightseeing.

The ingredients are fresh and the flavours well thought out, although the cuisine is simple and genuine. The wine list is extensive. The staff are friendly and quick to serve. Try the truffle-flavoured ravioli. Prices are more than affordable, ranging from five to nine pounds for a main course. If you want to try this restaurant, head down to nearby Victoria Station.

The restaurant has an Italian atmosphere and offers vegetarian cuisine, as well as delicious pizzas, excellent fish and pasta with tomato sauce, cooked very well. The restaurant is warm and cosy and has an equally pleasant outdoor area. The staff is friendly and offers a qualified and attentive service. Prices are perhaps a little higher than average, especially for pizza – which is around fifteen pounds – but it’s worth it. If you want to have a great meal here, head down to Holland Park Station, which is only a few minutes’ walk from here.
