Located in Knightsbridge on the edge of Hyde Park, Bulgari Hotel London is both a haven of calm in the centre of the city and yet under a minute’s walk from such landmarks as the famous Harrods department store.
Since opening in 2012, Bulgari has set new standards among the luxury hotels of the British capital. Elegant contemporary architecture and Bulgari’s legendary flair for design are matched by class-leading quality of service.
Design, service, and exceptionally generously proportioned rooms and suites combined with unrivalled facilities such as a full gymnasium and physical training centre with on-site Workshop personal training team; 11 single treatment rooms and 1 private spa suite Spa; 25 metres, three-lane swimming pool; 47 seat cinema; unique Cigar Shop and sampling room, a stunning Ballroom; to deliver a city hotel experience that is unique in the world.
As an entirely new-build property, Bulgari London benefits from having been conceived and designed from inception as a luxury hotel. Noted architect and designer Antonio Citterio was given free rein to create an environment that is faithful both to the design heritage of Bulgari and the status of London as one the world’s most exciting, dynamic and international cities.
With furnishings from Citterio’s Flexform Collection, handcrafted drapes by Enzo degli Angiuoni, plush carpeting by Altai and B&B module libraries featuring a carefully selected collection of all time classics and design books, Bulgari London presents an outstanding and elegant setting to hotel guests and locals alike.
Signature use of silver throughout the property offers subtle quotations from Bulgari’s roots as a Roman silversmith, a theme that is carried throughout the hotel, with such touches as the specially woven silk curtains featuring a pattern inspired by a brooch made by the firm’s founder Sotirio Bulgari during the 19th century.
WELLNESS & SPA
Regarded by many as the crowning achievement of the hotel, the Bulgari Spa has curated a selection of the most advanced beauty, grooming and health-enhancing treatments available today, offering the flexibility of one off specialist treatments to long term life-improvement programmes uniquely tailored to the needs of the individual.
The award-winning 2000m² Bulgari Spa, is one of the largest and most exclusive spas in central London. The creation of Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners, has been artistically crafted from onyx, oak and Vicenza stone. Arranged over two levels, this urban oasis of tranquillity, boasts a 25m swimming pool lined with shimmering green and gold mosaic and vitality pool entirely covered by gold leaf tiles. The spa includes 11 private treatment rooms and one double spa suite, complete with its own steam room, jacuzzi and private treatment room; and a 150m² fitness area with personal training at the WORKSHOP gymnasium.
At the heart of the unique Bulgari Spa experience is the most dramatic private pool complex in central London: the 25 metre colonnaded swimming pool with its loungers and cabanas is clad in the textured Vicenza stone that has been the signature of great Italian architecture since the time of Palladio. Providing a counterpoint to this architectural simplicity is the vitality pool with its variety of full body massage jets, and which, finished with tiny tiles of gold leaf glass, recalls the glittering gorgeousness of the Byzantine mosaics of Venice and Ravenna.
