Calala Private Island Resort – NiCaribbean, Nicaragua is the ultimate Nicaraguan escape.
This luxurious private island resort is situated in the undiscovered Caribbean waters off Nicaragua, also known as the NiCaribbean.
Here you’re invited to experience the coming together of unspoilt paradise and barefoot luxury.
Calala Island caters to just four suites in total: With a team of 25 Calala-lalas (also known in some parts of the world as “staff”) for a maximum of 10 guests, the goal is to ensure your every desire is met, seamlessly.
And if you’d prefer to have the island all to yourself, that can be arranged!
ACCOMMODATION
Designed by leading architect, Matthew Falkiner, each suite was carefully created with you in mind.
Lying directly along the beach and using the finest handcrafted furniture from Nicaragua, each suite perfectly marries you with your surroundings.
With only 4 suites on the entire Island, complete privacy comes as standard.
As does waking up to the birds tweeting.
And a sunset that must be seen to be believed.
You’ll have then the following options:

Little Calala Island
Yours to enjoy as you wish.
Just a few hundred meters, or a 5 minute paddle across, lies Little Calala Island. With just one umbrella on this tiny islet, it really can be just you. Explore the shipwreck on its shore and snorkel around the reefs, or let us send you off with a picnic for you to wither away the afternoon a million miles from reality.
Snorkeling and Water Sports
Guests can enjoy incredible snorkeling opportunities and the use of non-motorized water sports.
A beach barbecue night and an eight-course tasting produced by the Executive Chef occur on a weekly basis.
WELLNESS & SPA
The tranquil Calala spa is hidden away in the mangroves, perfect for relaxation and seclusion. At least a dozen types of massage treatments can be arranged from the spa.
