The Eremo della Giubiliana is located a few kilometers south of Ragusa, on a geographical scale further south than Tunisia, in the Eastern Lands of a very different Sicily, that of the Hyblean Highlands and untainted nature, surrounded by carob groves and dry stone walls. Substantial ancient ramparts of white stone surround and protect the courtyards and constructions within.
The white tower of the hermitage rises to dominate the plains, which gently slope down towards the sea; from here, oneโs gaze embraces miles and miles of coastline and even, owing to the cloudless days that are frequent in these latitudes, the Maltese Islands and the African coast: an infinite horizon charged with memoir and allure.
The hub of the monastery has been solicitously renovated, with particular consideration being given to original fixtures and the rigorous and careful restoration of materials such as the ancient stone flooring and various furnishings.
ACCOMMODATION
The rooms have been realized in what were once the monksโ chambers and are equipped with every modern comfort, whilst being furnished with period fittings and family artifacts, all of which add to the diversity of these surroundings when compared to more conventional hotel rooms. The warm welcome extended to each guest is typical of Sicilian hospitality and is temperately and tastefully demonstrated here in such a way as to make one feel immediately at home. The personal attention of the hotel owners, assisted by a diligent and professional staff, largely contributes to this pleasant atmosphere, thus affording guests a cordial and discreet geniality.
As the perfect solution for freedom-seeking and privacy-loving guests, the Eremo della Giubiliana is pleased to make available its on-site stone cottages, some of which are directly connected to our private runway.
DINING
Specialized in the study of local terrain and of the territoryโs World Heritage sites, the Eremo della Giubiliana also offers its guests a unique gourmet food and wine experience at the “Don Eusebio” restaurant, where the chef proposes a menu centered around local seasonal produce, creatively prepared and presented in such a way as to evoke the extraordinary gastronomy of the Latin Aristocracy.

Reredos from the XVI century, antique prints, and antique Sicilian coffers complete the precious furniture of this extraordinary room with big glass windows overlooking the centuries-old olive trees of the park.
The thematic menus, divided according to the cultural production of the territory in Masseria di Mare, Masseria di Terra, and Antique Gourmet, allow the guests to experience an enogastronomic journey discovering the real Mediterranean cuisine and the very ancient recipes that take their origins from the thousands of cultural influences of this extraordinary island.
WELLNESS & SPA
The wellness area Asphodelus at Eremo is located in the most exclusive part of the park, in front of the archeological site dating back to the VIII century a. C.

Guests can enjoy the view through the glass doors while sitting in the comfort area and drinking tea or lying down on the grass between ancient olive trees to continue the positive effect of one of the exclusive treatments based on natural elements, like, for example, olive oil and wine from the Eremo.
ACTIVITIES
A vacation spent at the Eremo della Giubiliana is one that will never be forgotten, whether guests choose to stay in the peaceful grounds of the hermitage, protected by its broad walls, relax in the grounds or walk along the medieval pathways, which even in December are immersed in the warmth of these latitudes, or whether they consider the strategic location of the Eremo as the perfect base for local tours: that is, being more or less central to Eastern Sicily, Taormina, Syracuse, Noto, Agrigento, baroque towns, and remarkable archaeological sites are all accessible in less than an hour by car.
