The 10 most beautiful beaches in Greece (2023) – By Black Platinum Gold
Zakynthos beach
One of the most photographed beaches in the world is located in Zakynthos and is the Wreck Beach, so called because in the center of the beach is what remains of a ship.
The beach is enclosed by high cliffs and consists of millions of pebbles, pebbles and white sand, which together with some sulfurous hot springs, give the place a unique color, ranging from light blue to electric blue. It can only be reached by sea.
Crete Beach
On the island of Crete, don’t miss Elafonissi Beach: a piece of paradise where the color of the sand tends to pink and the sea is super clear. In front of Elafonissi Beach is a small island where Caretta Caretta turtles lay their eggs.
You will find sand dunes, bushes and sea lilies, connected to the mainland by a sandy passage that is covered at high tide.
Lefkada Beach
The island of Lefkada is a paradise for those who love hidden, secluded beaches. Egremni Beach on the west coast is accessible by following a dirt road that leads to an impassable 300-step stairway.
Rhodes Beach
The queen of Rhodes is Lindos Beach. It is located in a picturesque bay about 50 km from Rhodes town. If you prefer less crowded places, head to the coves at either end of the bay. Also worth a stop are the beaches of Lardos, which are the wildest on the island.
If you love windsurfing, don’t miss the beautiful Prassonissi beach (in the south of the island) surrounded by dunes.
Beaches of IOS
Manganari beach is a set of 5 small beaches separated by rocks. It is located 23 km from Chora on the island of Ios. Scenes from Luc Besson’s Le Grand Blue were filmed here. Surrounded by nature and accessible only by boat is the small beach of Ios Papa (south of Kalamos).
Beaches of Naxos
You cannot miss a day at Naxos’ most famous beach, Agios Prokopios (located on the western part of the island, a few kilometers from Chora). Unlike other beaches it is well protected from the winds, which is why you will feel like you are in a natural swimming pool.
Immediately after Agios Prokopios you will find Agia Anna. This is a collection of small sandy beaches interspersed with rocks and a fishing port.
Beaches of Kos
Paradise Beach is one of the most famous beaches on Kos, about 7 km from Kefalos. It is made of white sand and crystal clear sea. The best time to enjoy it is out of season. Another unmissable beach on the island is about seven kilometers southwest of Kefalos village and is named after the abandoned church of Agios Ioannis Theologos.
Beaches of Corfu
For those who choose the island of Corfu this summer, waiting for you is the picturesque lagoon of Paleokastritsa where the sea has a deep color. Along the coast protected by large rocks you will find plenty of sandy and pebble beaches, some accessible only by boat.
Beaches of Kefalonia
On the island of Kefalonia is Myrtos Beach, which is one of the best known beaches on the island and is located in the northern part of Kefalonia, in Pylaros. Green mountains shelter the beautiful cove formed by sand and white pebbles.
Beaches of Santorini
In Santorini you will find a curious Red Beach: it is located in the south of the island and, unlike the other dark beaches due to the volcanic origin of the island, the Red Beach will surprise you with red sand and emerald waters.
