We are in the year of the EXPO in Dubai! The whole world will meet in Dubai from October 2020! Let’s start a column today to discover the wonders and luxury in Dubai!
What is Dubai Mall? Twice delayed, Dubai Mall opened on 4 November 2008, with about 1000 retailers, marking the world’s second largest-ever mall opening in retail history behind West Edmonton Mall. However, it does not have the most gross leasable space, and is surpassed in that category by nineteen malls including the New South China Mall, which is the world’s largest, Golden Resources Mall, SM City North Edsa, and SM Mall of Asia.
THE BEST 5 FOUNTAIN VIEW RESTAURANTS IN THE DUBAI MALL
1. WALNUT GROVE
This fancy new spot in The Dubai Mall has heaps of cakes, superb breakfasts, and best of all, excellent views of the Burj Khalifa. It never gets old.

2. RED LOBSTER
What’s better than digging into fresh seafood with water views? This might not be the seaside, but the view from Red Lobster’s dining area of The Dubai Fountain is just as delightful.

3. FIVE GUYS
Whether you’re after super-tasty meat patties, or deliciously gooey grilled cheese sandwiches, there are loads of fast food options at this US chain. But the special thing about The Dubai Mall branch? It also boasts views of The Dubai Fountain, for a side of dancing jets with your deep-fried stack.
Lower Ground Floor, Waterfront Promenade (04 380 4117).
Only dried pasta from family-run producers in Italy will do at this contemporary cafe-deli. Expect soups, antipasti, salads, risotto, pastas, handmade focaccia and a kids’ menu.

If you have visitors in town, and want them to try some modern Emirati cuisine, Logma needs to be on your to-do list. Especially this branch, as the views from the third floor are particularly wow-worthy.
