INSPIRATION – Y’AM Capri – Wearing “La Dolce Vita” in all the Mediterranean Shades
Capri is beautiful – seriously beautiful. Steep cliffs rise majestically from an impossibly blue sea; elegant villas drip with wisteria and bougainvillea; even the trees seem to be carefully manicured.
All this enchanting beauty is the source of inspiration of Y’AM Capri creativity.
The island has inspired the brand not only for its shimmering seas and stunning coves and beaches, but also for its fine art, culture, unique atmosphere and lifestyle.
DESIGN – Y’AM Capri – Wearing “La Dolce Vita” in all the Mediterranean Shades
Y’am clothing captures the essence of Capri Lifestyle, together with a “Dolce Vita” allure and the joy of living.
A dive into the 1950s among celebrities disembarking on the island, such as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Ingrid Bergman and Audrey Hepburn, in voluminous poodle skirts, all matched with coloured and funny T-shirts. Every single creation is an ironic and unconventional interpretation of Capri fashion, reflecting an eccentric style and the freedom of expression typical of that time.
Each garment is carefully designed, sourced, and produced in Capri and the Amalfi Coast, simultaneously preserving and sustaining the craftsmanship and textile traditions of these cherished lands.
Refined femininity, romantic floral prints and kaftans in the shades of the mediterranean, paired with clean cut silhouettes in classic neutral colors.
Cotton sateen, sheer muslin and soft silk shapes are signatures of the Y’am collection.
Breezy linen dresses, for hot days spent on the beaches of Capri.
Every single creation is an ironic and unconventional interpretation of Capri fashion, reflecting an eccentric style and the freedom of expression typical of that time.
The brand, inspired by the eccentricity and light-heartedness of Capri, offers distinctive designs reminiscent of the island’s laidback yet sophisticated lifestyle.
The glamour of 1950s Capri comes alive again today in Y’AM Capri unique items.
FOUNDER – Y’AM Capri – Wearing “La Dolce Vita” in all the Mediterranean Shades
Born in Capri, Italy, Valeria De Gregorio grew up surrounded by the natural beauty and unique atmosphere of the island and studied its deep traditions.
“Y’AM” evokes the concepts of irony and positivity that the brand wants to express: “Jamm” is an expression of Neapolitan dialect which means “let’s go”, “let’s keep moving”, meanwhile “Jamm ja” is the refrain of the popular song “Funiculì, Funiculà” and the brand choose it to represent its cheerful identity.
