An eco-conscious philosophy, a careful research of materials and modern décor: these are the ideas behind a new vision of the rustic and traditional Maremma Tuscany.
At the Argentario Golf Resort & Spa, the main symbol of this identity is the majestic entrance hall, with its incredible backdrop of blue sky and Mediterranean vegetation against the tabarca-stone floors.
The dragonfly-shaped property features a limestone façade, while in the inside, interior designer Andrea Fogli has created a contemporary style with retro and extravagant touches.
Among many special design pieces you’ll notice: the social table by Vincent Van Duysen and the Cappellini chairs by Marcel Wanders at the Dama Dama Restaurant; the Pig Tables by Marcel Wanders for Moooi and the chandeliers by Ron Gilads; the writing desk by Bertjan Pot and the ‘furry’ chairs by Patricia Urquiola in the hall.
ACCOMMODATION
Each design accommodation features a terrace and the latest technologies, and is the result of a meticulous research on materials and fittings.
All the rooms and suites express their individual personality through a sophisticated and comfortable design, ranging from the minimalist look in a contemporary art-gallery style to the most glamorous and metropolitan spirit with chrome plating and stone tubs.
DINING
“Dama Dama” is the scientific name for the fallow deer, a beautiful species that can still be found roaming freely in the woods that surround the Argentario Golf Resort & Spa.
Dama Dama Restaurant is today a contemporary vision of an elegant mountain retreat, where Chef Emiliano Lombardelli proposes a cuisine based on the flavours and the colours of the local territory.
Dishes are prepared using genuine products that come from small, carefully selected local farms and, in some periods of the year, these ingredients come directly from our vegetable garden and orchard.
In addition to the classic Mediterranean cuisine, the restaurant also proposes the innovative cuisine of the Wellbeing Method conceived by biologist and nutritionist Luca Naitana. It promotes a new concept of wellness centred on reaching a balanced and healthy physical and mental state.
Mediterranean-type diet of fresh and seasonal fruit and vegetables, extra virgin olive oil, white meat and fresh fish.
The Tasting Menu is recommended for those wishing to undertake a voyage among the flavours, the aromas and the colours of the most particular land and sea dishes.
The wine cellar offers mainly wines from the Maremma Tuscany.
The lounge bar, located at the base of a grand, white spiral staircase, features the amusing Pig Tables by Marcel Wanders and an unlikely science laboratory on the counter.
Club House Restaurant
Revitalising drinks and healthy dishes that are both simple yet creative, await you in the Club House, which recalls the tradition of historic Anglo-Saxon golf clubs with contemporary details.
The restaurant and bar of the Club House overlook the large terrace where you can admire the beautiful landscape: the golf course, the Mediterranean vegetation, Orbetello Lagoon and the Gulf of Talamone.
GOLF
In 2019, Argentario Golf Club became the PGA National Italy, and is the only PGA licensed golf facility in Italy. It hosts various of the most important golf tournaments in Tuscany and Italy, featuring 18 panoramic holes for a total of 6,218 metres and par 71.
The course has been awarded the “Agri Cert” certification for its bio eco-compatibility, and all products used for its maintenance are completely natural.
The golf course is located in a protected natural area, only 5 minutes from the Duna Feniglia Nature Reserve and 25 km from the Parco dell’Uccellina Reserve. The Orbetello Lagoon, the sea and the hillside offer a beautiful panorama and create a microclimate that allows golf to be played at any time of the year.
WELLNESS & SPA
The Espace Wellness Center seems suspended between retro and modern, where large windows overlook the green landscape, and the chromo-therapy lights and the pool water reflection create a relaxing atmosphere for the guests’ physical and mental wellbeing.
The 2.700 m² spa includes a fitness centre with Technogym equipment, bio-sauna with chromotherapy, Kneipp circuit, heated indoor swimming pool with saline water, massage cabins and tanning showers, among many other services. Outdoors, Espace offers 2 padel courts, 2 tennis courts, 2 jogging trails and one small football pitch.
At the MediSPA you can discover and experience the Wellbeing Method, a new concept of wellness centred on reaching a balanced and healthy physical and mental state. It involves food re-education and exclusive treatments designed for you to achieve your desired weight, shape and physical-mental wellness, and to maintain these throughout time.
Swimming Pools
The swimming pool complex features a unique and charming design, and it overlooks the 18th hole on the golf course and the neighbouring Argentario Polo Club. It offers a heated indoor pool, an outdoor pool, tubs with cervical cascades, thalassotherapy, Kneipp pools and hot tubs.
During summer, the Argentario Resort offers a terrace with 2 swimming pools where guests can refresh themselves under the Tuscan sun.
With water heated at 28 C°, the indoor pool at the Espace wellness center extends outdoors and is open all year long. Its saline water helps the skin become more toned and elastic thanks to its unique healthy properties. A swim in a saline pool favours the draining of liquids, acts against bacteria and inflammations, and is also a great solution for those who wish to slim down, as it helps the blocked or slow metabolism.
